The Governors of Whickham School & Sports College Academy Trust wish to appoint a Business Manager for a September 2013 start. The successful applicant will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team whose role is to ensure efficient and effective management of finance, HR, premises, health and safety and office administration.

Whickham School is a large and successful school in Gateshead with over 1650 students including 370 in the sixth form. Standards are high and in November 2010 Ofsted judged the school “good with outstanding features”. Over 99% of students achieve 5 + A*-C at GCSE and in 2013 5+A*-C including English and maths is expected to be over 75%. The sixth form is one of the most successful in the region with a 99% pass rate and 53% of grades being A*-B.
