At Whickham School, ensuring the safety and welfare of all students is one of our core purposes. Through assemblies, our pastoral systems, Heads of Year and tutors, learning and peer-support systems, we want to ensure that every students has someone they could confide if they were concerned about their own welfare or that of others. This on-line reporting tool enables students to report to us any threats or hazards experienced on-line.
Your concerns could include:
* Access to inappropriate material or images that upset or threaten you
* Cyberbullying
* Contacts made by adults or other children that make you feel uncomfortable. It could be sexual chat, being asked to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable or someone being insistent on meeting up.
**Your report will be directed to a senior member of staff.
(If an issue arises out of school hours, in the evenings, at weekends or during holidays, you can continue to discuss your concerns with your parent or carer. In addition, we have provided links to the following organisations that provide opportunities to report on-line threats and provide support and guidance)
